Paul K. Carlton, MD, FACS, Lt. Gen. USAF-Ret , former Air Force Surgeon General, has joined the Company’s Board of Advisors. Dr. Carlton is currently the Director, Homeland Security, The Texas A&M University System Health Science Center.

LSTAT was recognized with a 2005 Homeland Security Award in Emergency Response from the Congressionally-established Christopher Columbus Foundation.

IMS became a member of the research consortium Center for the Integration of Medicine and Technology (CIMIT). Membership affords the opportunities for collaborative research with CIMIT members.

LSTAT has been accepted for listing on the government-sponsored Responder Knowledge Base website. When first responders check the website for approved capabilities such as stretchers/litters or for related grant/funding opportunities for these, they will be linked to an LSTAT page.

U.S Air Force in Hawaii accepts LSTATs for evaluation, exercises and training.

DARPA awards IMS $1.3M under DARPA’s Trauma Pod program. IMS’ role is to develop the patient registration platform using LSTAT, and integrate advanced imaging systems.

U.S. Army targets LSTAT for integration of High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) technology under an Army Small Business Technology Transfer project involving for robotic-assisted surgery.

The Center of Excellence for Remote and Medically-Underserved Areas (CERMUSA, Loretto, PA) accepts LSTAT for evaluation, exercises and training.

India military receives LSTATs via IMS distributor Consolidated Products, Ltd.

VHA, a private for-profit cooperative of 2,200 not-for-profit community-based healthcare systems, published “Transforming Critical Care: Survival Planning for 2015” which, while they do not mention brand names as a matter of policy, do describe LSTAT among examples of designing flexible facilities as a key “survival strategy”.

Medical Device & Diagnostic Industry magazine recognizes the government-industry LSTAT G5 team among the best design teams in the nation for 2005.

Los Angeles Business Journal lists IMS among Top 25 Biomed/Biotech companies in Los Angeles County.
